Quiet and Peaceful - My friend and I visited this park on March 15, 2017. It is very clean and the cabin is in great shape. A great piece of history. Many thanks to The DAR and the park service.

Candlelight hike - My wife and I did the candlelight hike to the mill on October 15 and had a nice time. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about the mill. Well worth the $5 registration fee.

My favorite park - Been going to Indian Springs since 1956 still camp there on every occasion I get. I would like to see it expanded with more camping area or camping area #1 brought up to the condition of area #2. The people there are great keep up the good work. Eddie Mathews Thomaston, Ga

- This is the most wonderful campground we have ever stayed in, anywhere. We have been coming there now for 20 years. love every minute. No negative comments from here.

- I love the laser shows, and have always enjoyed the engraving on the Mountain honoring those of History. Although I have seen many calling for the removal of it, I do hope it will be preserved for future generations.

- We love the natural beauty of the island. However, the campground is need of improvement. The sites are too close together, lots of litter, and drainage issues during storms. However, the staff is always pleasant. Lastly, not happy with the desire to build up the island. The area near the convention center is too commercialized and takes away from the history. We have been coming here for 25 years and the last few years have been disappointed in the commercialization, which is distracting of the natural beauty and history of the island.

Best Hike Ever - My wife and I just did the 5 mile hike to the Hike Len Foote Inn. It was great, we enjoyed it as much as our recent trip to the Grand Cayon. Great views, wonderful staff, and a moderate hike. We are in our early 60s and found most people hiking there were near our age group (40s to late 60s ). We had no problem doing it in about 4 hours. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. We recommend it to everyone.

Best Campground Ever! - I am 46 years old and have been coming to Elijah Clark my entire life. I now have older teenagers that my wife and I bring at least twice a year. It is a very special place for me and my family. We used to stay in the cabins a lot because they are amazing but we now stay in our pop-up. You cannot beat the campsites as far as size and cleanliness..and views of the lake. The Park Ranger and staff are extremely helpful and nice. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
6/28/2014 11:16:42 PM Savannah National Wildlife Refuge
Great place - I lived near Savannah for years. The Wildlife Refuge was a sanctuary for me. I recently came home from New Hampshire, still a marvelous spot!
