February 15 many changes by Elise
many changes and not for the better. Campsites have been shortened. The canoe trail remains but no canoes are available to rent and dockage has been removed. This was once one of the best activities in the park. Many people are not aware that there are only a few sandy beaches in the entire Keys due to an offshore coral reef. This is NOT one of them.

I spent Thanksgiving 2010 at Long Key. Camped, kayaked and swam right from my camp site. You can rent kayaks and canoes there. Rest rooms and showers are clean. Great place to kick back and relax.

This is a great park for vacation. My wife and I had fun swimming, snorkeling and just admiring the atlantic ocean. If you are going to walk along the shore line bring water shoes becuase part of the shore line is rocky. The park staff was very helpful especally Beverly they helped make it a great vacation, Thank you all Mr. W. Love

May 25 Best Florida state park for camping by L Walker
Beautiful waterfront sights, modern bath houses (1 for each 20 sites) and friendly staff.
April 21 Waterfront camping by HAL
This is a fun park. Each site fronts the water, there are no bad views. However, there are sites with rocks in the water that will keep you from swimming, wadding or launching a kayak directly from in front of your site (mid 30s through mid 40s). We were not on the rocks, but still needed water shoes to cushion the pebbles while fishing and wadding. Sunrises are spectacular. If you are a tent camper, I suggest sites 9 and 10. Bath houses are modern and kept very clean. All in all we had a most enjoyable time.
