Swimming
1. Lost Island Lake State Park offers a sandy beach for swimming.
2. Lifeguards are not provided, so swim at your own risk.
3. Swimming is allowed during park hours from 4: 00 am to 10:30 pm.
4. The lake water quality is regularly monitored and generally safe for swimmers of all ages.
5. There's ample parking near the beach area making it easily accessible for visitors with picnic facilities nearby too.
6. The shallow areas are perfect for children or beginner swimmers while deeper parts cater to more experienced ones.
7. No pets are permitted in the designated swimming areas within this state park.

Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is a boat ramp available, allowing easy access to the lake for those with their own watercrafts. Motorized boats are allowed on the lake and there's plenty of space for sailing or leisurely cruises around the waters as well. Canoeing and kayaking are also popular activities due to calm conditions ideal for paddling.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing in a 1,200-acre lake filled with walleye, northern pike and yellow perch. There are also bullhead catfish available for catch-and-release fun. Boat ramps provide easy access to the water while shoreline spots offer peaceful casting opportunities. Ice fishing is popular during winter months too.



Picnicking
Lost Island Lake State Park offers picnic areas with tables and grills, perfect for family gatherings or quiet lunches.
Bicycling
Cycling enthusiasts should note that paved trails are not present within this park. Care is needed on natural terrain paths. The surrounding area, however, offers several biking opportunities with well-maintained routes for all skill levels.

Please be aware of potential hazards such as uneven surfaces and fallen branches when cycling off-road in the park's wilderness areas. Always wear a helmet and other protective gear to ensure safety while enjoying your ride.

Remember also that cyclists must share these spaces with hikers and wildlife; respect their presence by maintaining appropriate speeds at all times.

Lastly, always check local weather conditions before setting out on any bike journey - sudden changes can make riding dangerous or even impossible due to muddy tracks or high winds.
