Pahokee State Park is a serene natural oasis that offers stunning views of Lake Okeechobee. It features camping sites, picnic areas and hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. The park also provides opportunities for fishing and bird watching with its rich wildlife diversity. Its tranquil environment makes it an ideal spot for relaxation amidst nature's beauty.

History of the Area
Located in Palm Beach County, Florida, the park was established on Lake Okeechobee's shore. It spans over 700 acres of land and water.

Originally a campground for travelers during the early 20th century, it became state property in 1974. The area is known for its rich agricultural history with sugarcane fields surrounding it.

The site offers various recreational activities including camping facilities since its inception as a public space. In addition to this, visitors can enjoy fishing or boating due to proximity to Lake Okeechobee.

In recent years there have been efforts towards restoration projects aimed at preserving local wildlife habitats within the park boundaries.

Passes
Annual Entrance Passes can be purchased at all park ranger stations and museums. If you require immediate use of your pass, this is the best option. Passes can be purchased during regular business hours 365 days a year. Please call the park in advance to ensure availability. Those who are eligible for discounted or free passes may use this method to receive their pass. Camping
- Pahokee Campground: Offers 70 full-hookup RV sites with waterfront views.
- Tent Camping: Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Group Camping Area: Ideal for large gatherings or events.
- Primitive camping areas: For those seeking an off-grid experience.

Boating
The park, located in Florida, offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is an expansive marina with 162 boat slips available to accommodate boats up to 100 feet long. The facility also includes fuel docks and a bait shop providing convenience for fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, the park features two public boat ramps that are accessible around-the-clock allowing easy access into Lake Okeechobee which is renowned as one of America's premier freshwater fishing locations.

Fishing
Enjoy fishing in the freshwater Lake Okeechobee, known for largemouth bass. Other species include bluegill and black crappie. Boat ramps are available.

Directions
Directions from Miami, Florida:

- Start on I-95 N.
- Take exit 12B for FL-826 W/FL -91 Toll N.
- Merge with FL -821N.

From Orlando, Florida:

- The starting point is the Turnpike S ramp to Miami/Ft Lauderdale
- Take a left turn onto US Highway 441 South (US Hwy 27).
- Merge onto Palm Beach Rd/Southern Blvd.

From Tampa Bay Area:

- Begin at Interstate75-South towards Naples.
- Proceed until you reach Exit131(Daniels Parkway) and take it eastbound toward Labelle/Clewiston/PalmBeach Countyline Road(CountyRoad880).

Once in Pahokee City Limits:

- Follow E Main St/Bacom Point Rd till reaching Lake Ave intersection.
- Turn right into Annona Avenue which leads directly to park entrance.
