The Pan-American State Park is a beautiful, expansive area known for its diverse wildlife and lush vegetation. It offers various recreational activities such as hiking, bird-watching, camping and fishing. The park's serene environment provides an ideal setting for nature lovers to explore or simply relax amidst the picturesque surroundings.
History of the Area
Established in 1980, the park is located near Miami. It was created to celebrate Pan-American culture and heritage. The area spans over 160 acres of land featuring a variety of ecosystems.

The site has been used for numerous cultural events since its inception, including music festivals and art exhibitions. In addition to these activities, it offers recreational opportunities such as hiking trails and picnic areas.

In recent years efforts have increased towards preserving natural habitats within the park boundaries due to environmental concerns.

Passes
Annual Entrance Passes can be purchased at all park ranger stations and museums. If you require immediate use of your pass, this is the best option. Passes can be purchased during regular business hours 365 days a year. Please call the park in advance to ensure availability. Those who are eligible for discounted or free passes may use this method to receive their pass. Directions
Directions from Miami, Florida:

- Start on I-95 N.
- Take exit 12B for FL-826 W/FL-91 toward North Palm Beach.
- Continue onto FL's Turnpike (signs for Orlando).
- Keep left at the fork to stay on Florida's Turnpike.
- Use right lane to take Exit 289 towards US Highway 27 South / State Road 19 North.
- Merge with US Hwy.

From Tampa, Florida:

- Begin your journey by getting onto I275-Northbound
- Follow signs and merge into Interstate4-East via ramp going towards Orlando
- Stay in middle lanes of traffic as you approach downtown area; follow signage indicating directions to SR408-Toll East/West Expressway/Titusville direction
- Pay toll fee then continue straight ahead until reaching turnoff point indicated by signpost reading "Exit31/SR417 Toll/Cocoa/Kennedy Space Center"
- Once off highway make a slight curve following road markings leading up unto overpass bridge crossing above interstate below.

From Orlando, Florida:

- Start on I4 West.
- Take exit 77 for the FL Turnpike S towards Miami.
- Continue onto FL's Turnpike (signs for Yeehaw Junction).
- Keep left at fork to stay on Florida's Turnpike
- Use right lane to take Exit 289 towards US Highway 27 South / State Road19 North.
