PATAPSCO STATE PARK
Patapsco Valley State Park extends along 32 miles of the Patapsco River, encompassing 16,000 acres and five developed recreational areas. Recreational opportunities include hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, horseback and mountain bike trails, disc golf as well as picnicking for individuals or large groups in the park's many popular pavilions.

However, motorized boats aren't allowed in order to maintain peace and tranquility within the area. Boat rentals are not provided on-site; therefore, guests must bring their own equipment or rent from nearby facilities outside the park.

The Avalon area provides excellent opportunities for anglers to catch smallmouth bass and sunfish.
In the Daniels Area you can fish from shore or launch your own canoe or kayak into the river.

Remember Maryland's Department of Natural Resources requires all fishermen aged 16+ to have a license before casting their lines.
