SQUILCHUCK STATE PARK
Squilchuck State Park is a 288-acre camping park covered with forests of fir and ponderosa pine. The park sits at an elevation of 4,000 feet. This forested park sets at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The park is open on a limited basis for winter snow play, which includes sledding, inner tubing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Two areas are designated for sledding: one for adults and older kids and an area for young children. The park has six miles of trails for cross-country skiers. History of the Area
In Chinook, "squilchuc"' means "muddy water." The park land was sold to the state in 1952. The ski lodge was constructed in 1953.
Passes

Camping
Group Accommodations:

The park has one group camp that accommodates up to 160 people (minimum of 20 people). There is one restroom and two showers. There are no hook-ups. Maximum space length is 30 feet (may have limited availability). Fees vary with size of the group. Reservations are required. There are no individual campsites. To reserve the group camp, call Wenatchee Confluence State Park (509) 664-6373.

Check-in time is 2:30 p.m., and check-out time is 1 p.m. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.Engine-driven electric generators may be operated only between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.Length of stay: You may stay up to ten consecutive days in any one park during the summer; the stay limit is extended to 20 days between Oct. 1 and March 31.
Lodge
A lodge is a rentable day-use heritage place popular for weddings and other group gatherings. The lodge features a huge fireplace with kitchen, stove, sinks, refrigerator, banquet tables, chairs and picnic tables outside. Prices vary with size of the group. Trails
1. Squilchuck Trail: This is a 3-mile loop trail that offers moderate difficulty for hikers, with an elevation gain of about 600 feet. It winds through dense forests and open meadows.

2. Mission Ridge Trail: A challenging hike stretching over six miles round trip, this trail takes you to the top of Mission Ridge offering panoramic views of the surrounding area including Wenatchee Valley and Stuart Range.

3. Beehive Reservoir Loop: An easy-to-moderate level hiking path spanning approximately four miles in length around a beautiful reservoir known for its wildflowers during springtime.

4. Clara Lake Trailhead: Starting from within Squilchuck State Park itself, it's roughly two-and-a-half mile trek leading up to serene Clara Lake nestled amidst lush greenery - perfect spot for picnicking or fishing after your hike!

5. Chipmunk Flats Family Adventure Area Trails: These are short trails designed specifically keeping families in mind; they offer gentle slopes suitable even for young children while still providing ample opportunities to explore nature's beauty at close quarters.

6. Wenatchee Guard Station Accessible Interpretive Nature Walkway: As name suggests,this wheelchair-accessible walkway provides informative signs along route explaining local flora & fauna making it both educational as well as enjoyable experience especially suited towards differently-abled visitors or those seeking leisurely stroll rather than strenuous hikes.

7. Squilchuck Ski Hill Pathways: During off:season when ski lifts aren't operational these pathways transform into excellent hiking routes allowing one ascend gradually uphill enjoying stunning vistas all way long till reaching summit where breathtaking panorama awaits them!

Park trails are open to day visitors who walk or bicycle into the park. However, when the campground or lodge is reserved, day visitors are not permitted in the campground or lodge area. Please respect the privacy of groups that have reserved the park.

Mountain biking is not allowed in the lodge or camp areas for safety reasons.

Located nine miles southwest of Wenatchee, Wash., up Squilchuck Canyon toward Mission Ridge.

From Hwy. 2 east or west : Travel south on Wenatchee Ave. through Wenatchee, and follow signs up Squilchuck Rd. about eight miles to park.

From Hwy. 28 : Cross bridge over Columbia River, staying in left lane. At first stoplight, turn left, and follow signs to park.
