June 25 Great State Park by Johnny S.
A large state park with an abundance of trails and shell roads for hiking and bicycling. Miles of waterfront and canals for canoeing, kayaking and boating not to mention the fishing. Scenery is beautiful and the park is very well kept. Camping sites are spacious and for the most part spread out with plenty of shade. You will have to look hard for a sunny campsite. Park staff is friendly and efficient as they are in all Florida State Parks, but at Tomoka they are especially good. There is also a lot of history within the park. There is no swimming for the kids but the beach is not far away. We will visit this park several times a year.
