Bear Brook is a popular group destination with many ponds, streams and trails for exploration. Enjoy the museum complex, swimming, canoeing and fishing. The 97-site campground offers a camp store, canoe and rowboat rentals, showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, ice and firewood. Reservations for organized youth group camping may be made by calling 603/271-3628, Monday through Friday, from January through mid-October. The shelter, located in the day-use area of the park, may be reserved for group picnics and outings by calling the park directly, at 603\485-9874. A ballfield, barbeque pit, horseshoe area, nearby trails, wooded surrounds and isolation from other park visitors make it a great spot for family reunions, class picnics and office outings.

Visitors can enjoy fishing in freshwater bodies, home to species like trout, bass and perch. Ice-fishing is popular during winter months. The park's two archery ponds are stocked with rainbow trout annually for a guaranteed catch experience. Catamount Pond offers boat rentals for those who prefer deep-water angling.
