Salmon Lake State Park, nestled in the scenic Seeley-Swan Valley of Montana, is a public recreation area known for its clear and tranquil waters. The park spans approximately 42 acres along the shores of Salmon Lake, offering picturesque views framed by mountainous backdrops.

Opened to visitors in 1963, this state park provides an array of outdoor activities including boating, fishing for various trout species and kokanee salmon; swimming; picnicking with available facilities; camping at one of several campsites equipped with modern amenities. Hiking trails nearby offer opportunities to explore local flora and fauna.

The main feature is undoubtedly Salmon Lake itself-a glacially carved body that's part of the Clearwater River chain-making it ideal for water enthusiasts seeking serenity or adventure on their kayaks or canoes amidst nature's splendor. With its relatively small size but rich recreational offerings within Western Montana's lush forests and mountainsides-it remains a cherished destination among locals as well as travelers from afar.
