We had a great weekend family trip at this park. It was extremely hot, but we still enjoyed this place and all it had to offer and we will be back. Digging for crystals was a great experience and we found plenty. Melissa Robell, a local Ranger, stopped by and provided much information to us. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. It is an amazing place Great place to go. Wonderful state park, we stayed in the park cabins and were very pleased with the amenities. This was the most amazing park and crystal reserve ever
My wife and I camp in a fifth wheel trailer on river road 3 to 4 times a year. The first time I ever camped was there. I love camping at salt plains, also the game warden is very nice. awesome weekend! Cabins are great The staff/reservationist
(Kerry ?) was so nice as well - great memories... Very clean. Linens are provided which was nice. Well stocked, even had a flat screen TV w/ Dish Network for when it got rainy Our kids (and the adults) could dig for crystals all day long! It was so much fun! Stayed here a couple of nights in the winter, cold and snowing, so having easy sites to set up in was nice. The staff was very friendly and the place overall was very clean and relaxing. Good water pressure, elect. hook up in good condition and the bathrooms very clean. Makes us want to return in the summer.
