Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is a public boat ramp that can be used to launch personal watercraft into the South River, which leads directly out to Chesapeake Bay. The waters are suitable for kayaking and canoeing as well, with rentals available on-site during peak season. Fishing from boats is also popular due to the abundance of fish species in these waters.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing in a serene environment with options for shoreline and pier angling. Species include perch, catfish, bass and sunfish.

Picnicking
Jonas Green State Park offers picnic tables and grills, perfect for family outings. No reservations required; first-come-first-serve basis only.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can enjoy the paved, multi-use trail that runs through this park. Be aware of pedestrians and runners.

The 13-mile Baltimore & Annapolis Trail is accessible from here for longer rides but requires careful navigation.

Cyclists should be cautious as some areas are hilly and may prove challenging to less experienced riders.

Riders must adhere strictly to designated paths; off-trail biking isn't permitted due to environmental preservation efforts in place.

Helmets are strongly recommended while cycling within the park's boundaries for safety reasons.

Remember: Bikes aren't available on rent so bring your own or make arrangements beforehand.

Night-time riding is not allowed since trails close at dusk - plan accordingly.
Birding
The park offers birdwatching opportunities with species like ospreys, herons and various songbirds. Birders can explore trails along the Severn River for optimal viewing. The area's diverse habitats attract a wide range of birds throughout the year.
