Day users can enjoy the swimming and picnic areas with shelters, playgrounds and hiking trails that are available to the cross-country skiers during the winter months. Lake Erie State Park is recognized as an excellent place for locating rare migratory birds following the lakes edge.
You can enjoy fishing from the shore or a boat, with options for ice fishing in winter. Species include walleye, perch and smallmouth bass. The lake also houses steelhead trout and salmon during certain seasons.
