Lakeside Beach State Park offers an outstanding panoramic view of Lake Ontario and surrounding farms and fruit orchards. No swimming is allowed, but 274 campsites, four miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing along the lake front, picnic grounds and playing fields bring thousands to the park. Winter activities include hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Anglers can enjoy fishing in the waters, home to species like Salmon and Steelhead. The park also offers ice-fishing during winter months for Northern Pike and Yellow Perch. Fishing equipment rentals are available on-site. A valid New York State fishing license is required.

Lakeside Beach State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables and grills, some overlooking Lake Ontario. Pavilion rental is available.
The park offers a diverse range of bird species, ideal for avid birdwatchers. It's home to waterfowl and shorebirds during migration seasons. Raptors can also be spotted in the area.
