PROUTY PLACE STATE PARK
The five-acre Prouty Place State Park is five miles southwest of PA 44 along Long Toe Road. This remote park offers access to hunting, fishing and hiking within the surrounding Susquehannock State Forest.
Enjoy fishing in a 4.5-acre lake, home to species like brook trout and largemouth bass. A Pennsylvania license is required.
The park's stream also offers opportunities for anglers with brown trout being the main catch here.
Ice-fishing enthusiasts can try their luck during winter months when conditions are safe enough on the frozen lake surface.
Fishing gear rental services aren't available within this area so remember to bring your own equipment along!
