Anglers can enjoy freshwater fishing in the park's lake, with species like largemouth bass and white crappie available. Catfish are also abundant here. Fishing gear is not provided so bring your own equipment. A valid Texas fishing license is required for those over 17 years old.

Birdwatchers can spot various species like the Red-bellied Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird and Carolina Chickadee. The park is also home to Bald Eagles in winter months.
Visitors may see migratory birds such as warblers during spring or fall migration seasons.
The area's diverse habitats attract a variety of waterfowl including ducks, herons and egrets.
There are several birding trails offering opportunities for spotting different types of songbirds, raptors and shorebirds.
THE WATER WAS SOOO NICE AND THE CAMP GROUNDS WERE NICE AND CLEAN.. THE BATHROOMS WERE GREAT TOO
